Exhibitions not to be missed in June in Brera

Aljoscha. Mutative Transitions into Organic Utopia

Where: Tempesta Gallery
When: Until 28 June

Tempesta Gallery presents the biofuturistic works and bioistic installation of the Ukrainian artist Alyoscha. The exhibition invites the public to immerse themselves in its delicate, colorful and translucent forms, stimulating a reflection on eudemonism, the doctrine that considers happiness as the natural objective of human life, and on bioethics, which explores the complex moral, social and legal issues emerging from the life sciences.

Aesthetic Dialogues

Where: Manuel Zoia Gallery
When: Until 29 June

The collective exhibition brings different artistic practices and visions into dialogue to explore a highly expressive pictorial language. The seven artists, with bold brushstrokes and subtle nuances, offer a journey through the infinite possibilities of contemporary painting. The exhibition deals with various themes, often linked to the sacred dimension and iconographic tradition, without losing sight of contemporary aesthetics. The visual narratives transport you to fantastic and visionary worlds, stimulating reflections on the complexity of human nature and the dynamics of power and symbolic representations in society.

In Contemporanea

Where: HUS Milano
When: Until 26 June

The exhibition presents a heterogeneous selection of international artists ranging from pop art to informal and abstract art, with forays into design. Among these we can find Giorgio Cavina, Fabrizio Ceccarelli, Manuel Cristani, Matteo Gandini, Jaana Niemi, Stefano Prati, Terino Romagnoli, Yahya. “In Contemporanea” creates a dialogue between different artistic expressions, using a plurality of techniques and materials. The exhibition is enriched by iconic design pieces, belonging to the collector Giacomo Bartoli, and challenges the conventional boundaries of the arts, creating a unique visual and tactile experience.

Pittori d’Italia. Giovani, giovanissimi… Anzi maturi

Where: Antonio Colombo Arte Contemporanea
When: Until 19 July

The title is a tribute to the wit of Ennio Flaiano and his famous paradox, underlining the thin boundary between true and false. The exhibition brings together twelve Italian painters, young and old, in a compendium that is not ambitious but devoted to the visual language. The artists, coming from different regions of Italy and some with experience abroad, demonstrate that Italian painting is hybrid and contaminated. Like Giorgio De Chirico, who painted his “Squares of Italy” from the Seine, the exhibition demonstrates that Italianness in art does not require a certificate of citizenship.

Punteggiato di luce, giaceva lì, scintillante

Where: Mimmo Scognamiglio Artecontemporanea
When: Until 26 July

A collective exhibition that brings together the recent works of three young artists: Anna Bochkova, Evgeniya Pankratova and Chiara Ressetta. The exhibition explores the symbolic power of objects and mirrors, evoking images that reveal hidden truths and narrative stratifications. Timeless figures are portrayed in decorative environments, symbols from historical frescoes are incorporated to create ideal worlds, while ceramic figures represent affectionate gestures and the transience of feelings.

Yohji Yamamoto. Letter to the future

Where: 10corsocomo Gallery
When: Until 31 July

10 Corso Como hosts a special exhibition project by the renowned designer Yohji Yamamoto, for the first time in Italy. Under the direction of Tiziana Fausti, the Gallery continues its programming dedicated to fashion culture with a project curated by Alessio de’ Navasques. This project presents a dialogue between iconic runway pieces, recent and future Yamamoto collections, offering an immersive experience that explores shapes, cuts and geometries beyond time.

Black Flame

Where: Galleria Fumagalli
When: Until 13 September

South Korean artist Sang A Han’s first solo exhibition in Italy features sculptures made of cotton fabric stitched, padded and painted with Meok (Indian ink). The artist reinterprets the oriental technique of ink painting and the traditions of sewing and embroidery, linked to female domestic work and oriental art, in a contemporary key. The title “Black Flame” reflects the artist’s poetics, where the black of the Meok transforms into warm shades similar to a rising flame, showing infinite shades.

Per Aspera ad Astra

Where: Fabbrica Eos
When: Until 29 June

The “Soldati” series by Cesare Fullone returns to Milan thanks to Fabio Novembre and Giancarlo Pedrazzini. The exhibition includes posters in public spaces in Milan and the original series at the Fabbrica Eos gallery. Fullone’s art, enriched by poetic phrases from various thinkers, invites reflection on the imperfections of reality. The project explores the ephemeral and its metaphor for human life, with a poetic text by Franco Arminio accompanying the installation.

Emilio Tadini. Tra archeologia e metafisica

Where: Gracis Gallery
When: Until 9 July

The works exhibited reflect the influence of metaphysical atmospheres and the work of Giorgio de Chirico, exploring dreamlike visions that blend socialist realism and informal art. Tadini, known for his fairy-tale and surrealist painting, adopts the metaphysical key to lighten his pictorial material and create ideal and multidimensional spaces. The works present ironic and impenetrable figures, placed in ambiguous scenarios that suggest a complex narrative open to the visitor’s interpretation.
