Triennale Estate 2024

The Garden of Triennale Milano hosts a rich program of afternoon and evening events covering a wide range of themes, from contemporary art to design, from music to sports. Live music is the protagonist  with international guests  spanning various genres. Additionally, there are numerous free-entry gatherings, including talks on art and design, and discussions blending moving images with music.

Estate al Castello 2024

Where: Castello Sforzesco

On the stage in the Cortile delle Armi of the Sforzesco Castle, “Summer at the Castle” takes place: the festival that transforms the castle into an epicenter of culture, entertainment. Concerts, theatrical performances, film screenings, creative workshops and temporary exhibitions will enliven the summer evenings, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere. The event offers free and controlled-price events, with an audience of 2300 seats.

Brera Antiques Market

The long-awaited appointment with the Brera Antiques Market is back. Among the fascinating street of Fiori Chiari, dozens of exhibitors will present a rich selection of items, including high-end costume jewelry, precious porcelain, modern antiques, vintage watches and much more. It is possible to independently explore the panoramic battlements of the Sforzesco Castle in Milan: after more than one hundred steps, you reach the highest floor of the Treasure Tower, offering a breathtaking view of the Milanese skyline. This new route , along with guided tours, offers, visitors an experience enriched by information panels on the history and defensive system of the Castle, from the medieval walls to contemporary Milan.

Guided tours of Palazzo Marino

During the months of July and August, it is possible to visit Palazzo Marino for free accompanied by expert guides. Icon of Milanese civil architecture, decorated with allegorical, mythological and historical frescoes, it houses a series of sumptuously furnished rooms. Triennale Playground

A series of workshops designed for the whole family, dedicated to fun and creativity at the Agorà Space. Among the activities proposed there is “Compo-Scompo”, a collaborative game created by the artist Olimpia Zagnoli, where different elements combine to create extravagant characters. In addition, you will be able to explore illustrated books and use materials to draw, allowing all participants to freely express their creativity.

MADE4ART returns with its traditional summer exhibition: it includes a main exhibition and the special project “Armonie” brings together several artists who, through their works, explore the theme of summer. The exhibition aims to symbolically represent summer as a period of maximum energy and vitality, using a variety of techniques, colors and materials.

The personal exhibition of the artist Annamaria Gelmi celebrates her multidisciplinary and conceptual approach, dedicated to the synergy between line, rhythm and space. Her works engage with the surrounding environment, using materials and forms to create pathways that transcend geometric rigor, evolving into a fantastical interplay within space.

The exhibition is dedicated to the use of red stone as a graphic medium in Italy from the beginning of the sixteenth century to the nineteenth century. It places emphasis on some of the most important drawings in terms of quality and collector history (including an original by Leonardo), created with this technique, so flexible and important in artistic practice and aesthetic research.

XXVIII Compasso d’Oro

An exhibition that explores the heritage and history of the Historical Collections, stimulating reflection on the functions of the History Museums in Milan in the twentieth century. It addresses the issues and problems related to the exposition and narration of wars, bringing to light essential questions.

La memoria delle cose

Where: Casa degli Artisti
When: From 19 July to 15 September

Luca Coser’s exhibition marks the conclusion of his period of artistic residency. The main work is a polyptych of five large canvases entitled “Polyptych of the Garden”, inspired by the poet Marianne Moore. Each canvas ironically quotes figures significant to the artist, creating fragmentary and imaginative narratives. A series of small canvases and numerous drawings during the residency explore a technical, poetic and conceptual imagery developed over the last ten years.

Paolo Baroggi – The Constellation

A collective exhibition dedicated to Outsider artists, the pioneers who marked the history of the Milanese gallery. The search for originality guides the activity of Maroncelli 12, with a constant commitment to protecting and enhancing the works of these authors outside the conventional artistic system. An intense work of experimentation and collaboration, aimed at creating cultural bridges and promoting insights into the field of contemporary art.
