Milan Arch Week 2024: a dive into contemporary architecture

An edition that promotes the social and cultural reactivation of the city’s energies through the power of architecture.

From 21 to 26 May 2024, Milan transforms into the world’s architecture capital thanks to Milano Arch Week. Promoted by the Politecnico di Milano, the Municipality of Milan, and Triennale Milano, this annual event offers a platform to explore and discuss current and future trends in architecture and urban design.

Milano Arch Week 2024 features a rich program of events, including conferences, workshops, exhibitions, and guided tours. Here are some of the main activities taking place in the district and major locations:

From conferences to round tables with national and international guests at Triennale Milano discussing urban sustainability, technological innovation, and the transformation of public spaces. The “Gae Aulenti (1927 – 2012)” exhibition intensely retraces the human and professional history of the architect, culminating with workshops and children’s activities related to the ongoing Alessandro Mendini exhibition “I Am a Dragon. The True Story of Alessandro Mendini.”

The program continues at the ADI Design Museum with a photographic exhibition and talks on the rapid real estate development in Milan over the past twenty years, often at the expense of green spaces and citizens’ needs.

Finally, at the headquarters of the Ordine degli Architetti, a series of conferences and seminars will focus on housing, urban regeneration cases, and guidelines for city reconstruction with an ecological challenge for metropolitan living.

Milano Arch Week 2024 is a must-attend event for all architecture and design enthusiasts. With a varied and stimulating program, this week promises to offer deep inspiration and reflection for professionals and citizens interested in the future of our cities.
