A secret garden that few people know about
Few people in Milan are aware of the garden dedicated to Pippa Bacca, a completely regenerated oasis of over 2,700 square metres recently redeveloped by the Nivea brand, together with WWF, the City of Milan and with the support of Green City Italia.
The garden is located in Via Tommaso da Cazzaniga and is a place of peace, quiet and fun.
It has many children’s games and lots and lots of greenery, not easy to find in a city.
Pippa Bacca, born Giuseppina Pasqualino di Marineo, was an Italian artist who tragically died at the age of 33 during a travelling performance called ‘Brides on the Road’.
The performance consisted of hitchhiking through 11 countries affected by armed conflicts until she arrived in Jerusalem, dressed as a bride, to promote peace and trust in others.
She was unfortunately killed by a man who had given her a lift on her route in Gezbe on 31 March 2008.
