Carpanese Home returns to Fuorisalone 2025 with Unfolding — the new furniture collection designed by Giorgio Bonaguro, Simone Bonanni and Matteo Zorzenoni — set in a museum-like installation curated by Studio Federico Peri.
Beyond the shape, a revealing title to shine a light on the context, beyond the products of Unfolding, the new furniture collection of Carpanese Home.
Centred on eleven new pieces of furniture, Unfolding reaffirms the partnership with Giorgio Bonaguro and Matteo Zorzenoni, greeting the entry of Simone Bonanni into “Casa Carpanese”. A distinct and refined design voice, Bonanni was invited to “conceive the overarching atmosphere of the intended environments for the furniture, with the purpose of fostering an emotional, and subsequently ergonomic, connection with future users”.
Unfolding thus reveals the findings from Giorgio Bonaguro’s study on overlapping and grafting volumes; the dialogue between curved lines and the concept of a multi-functional furnishing system by Matteo Zorzenoni and the exploration of graphic synthesis and form stylization by Simone Bonanni.
A result of shape refinement for a collection consisting of sofas, armchairs, dining tables, seating and furnishing accessories at the crossroads of function, sculpture and balance.
As Paolo Casicci — journalist, lecturer and content curator, among the most influential design-furniture signatures in Italy — wrote in the introduction Unfolding beauty of the new catalogue 2025: “The pieces in the Unfolding collection convey a clear and unmistakable message: there is still a way to turn chatter into dialogue, noise into sound, an interior space into a screenplay, contact into intimacy, and the future into a promise”.
Into the folds of Unfolding also Silvia Rivoltella‘s photography, Designwork graphic design Doruntina Film‘s clips video, AtemporaryStudio creative coordination and communication.
A selection of lights by CTO Lighting and Murano glass by Purho complete the set-up.
