Bar Jamaica

Via Brera, 32
Vecchia Brera

Opening times

Monday - Sunday
9:30 a.m. - 2:00 a.m.

In Jamaica there is still a glass of wine or a sandwich for the many intellectuals and personalities of the most lively Milan who, in one way or another, continue to circulate around this pole. It is possible to eat something at all hours, whether it is a salad, a sandwich, a plate of pasta, or an unlikely focaccia di Recco, which would otherwise have to be taken in Liguria, perhaps at night. In the same way, there you can find broom players with a Milanese dialect, and in the next table tourists. Spending the evening in the last stretch of Brera, the one forbidden to traffic, is like going to Sant-Germain on the side of the historic cafes. Historic is Jamaica.

Jamaica Bistro
The bistro is always open. We eat from 9.30 a.m. to 2.00 a.m., from toast to the Milanese cutlet. From Thursday to Saturday, when it is more crowded, Jamaica also opens its restaurant on the first floor. In this small, exclusive environment where history can be breathed in every corner, you can enjoy a typical Milanese menu, accompanied by a rich and interesting wine list. Given the small number of seats (approx. 30) it is advisable to make a reservation, especially for those who want to dine after the theatre.
